I attended a wedding at Vrede En Lust in Franshoek last week and this is one of my favourite photos from the trip.

This wall of vintage photo frames is at the entrance of the tasting room at main estate.

It’s a beautiful wine farm, you should definitely make your way there.

I attended a wedding at Vrede En Lust, which is a beautiful wine farm in Franshoek this weekend and was blown away by the venue and the scenery.

The two days there felt like a long holiday and will definitely go back.

On the weekend I joined a group of friends to climb Lions Head, which I hadn’t done for about a year and a half.

It’s such a quick an easy hike and only minutes away from Cape Town’s CBD.

I recently came across some vantage points for taking photos of the new Cape Town Stadium and these came out quite nicely.

I attended the J&B Met in Cape Town last Saturday and it truly was an amazing day with great weather, huge horses and loads of colourful and beautiful women.

Whenever there’s a theme involved you see people pushing the envelope – like the girls with the skirts that were more like belts, which resulted in a mexican wave emulation when every mans head turned violently as they walked by.

All in all it was a great day chilling in the J&B Jet Lounge with friends, champagne and suits!

Last week I was invited to attend the media briefing for the Final draw in Cape Town for the 2010 Fifa World Cup™, which is happening this Friday the 4^th of December 2009.

Final Draw Venue for the 2010 Fifa World Cup™

Last Friday was an experience of a lifetime and a definite tick on my list of 100 things to do before I die. Cape Town Tourism sponsored a bloggers day out to give some of Cape Town’s bloggers a time out from their PC’s, Google, Twitter and all that.

We experienced a professionally organised race day from Fantastic Racing, who let us race in the Reynard single seater race car, which can pull off speeds of 240 km/h with ease. These cars are just like the real deal and are a joy to ride!

Everyone who participated had a great time and left on an adrenaline high, big smiles and a need for more speed.

Before we could jump into the race cars, we had to watch a presentation to learn about the cars, how to take the corners and more importantly… how not to crash and explode.

These were our cars for the day – they Reynard single seater, which was pretty quick of the mark and handled like a dream.

I had never been in a car this fast or this awesome… hitting the accelerator released a growl that made you feel like Cole Trickle.

You could easiliy hit speeds of 200 km/h on the straights and when you hit 6th gear your helmet started getting sucked off your face, which added to the adrenaline rush!

Whenever good friends are visiting, it means a full weekend of activities. After various locations and digesting loads of food, drinks and conversation, we ended up at Jade in Green Point, Cape Town so that the girls could dance and the guys could have some chill time.

The crowd was pretty different to what we were used to, but it was this legend that made the night more interesting… Enter ‘Tod’.

Tod is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t juice up and spend too much of your time in the free weights section at Virgin Active. While dancing so close to my dear friend Dylan, who could practically feel him breathing on his neck (vomit), he proceeded to remove his shirt to benefit everybody on the dance floor.

There must be a rule about this somewhere and I’m pretty sure it’s Rule #183 of the Wedding Crashers code of conduct – “Do not take your shirt off on the dance floor”. What was worse was the fact that his friends were totally cool with it… Tod, they’re not really your friends.
