Living in Cape Town it’s impossible not to notice the constant noise of vuvuzela’s in Long Street and the cars driving by decorated with mirror socks and flags.
There is definitely a vibe in Cape Town at the moment and it’s World Cup Fever.

Tell your friends… there are some great deals this year!
On the weekend I joined a group of friends to climb Lions Head, which I hadn’t done for about a year and a half. Continue reading “A trip up Lions Head in Cape Town” »
I recently took this photo from my balcony in Cape Town when the clouds had this weird hold on the city.
I was walking around Cape Town and spotted a bit of chalk graffiti on a building and thought it was pretty cool. I then spotted the same thing on the pavement and then saw it all over the place.
It was a clever little marketing campaign by Puma.
The use of imagery allowed for their message to be translated by almost anyone into their own language and gives the vibe that the World Cup is near.
I recently came across some vantage points for taking photos of the new Cape Town Stadium and these came out quite nicely. Continue reading “Cape Town Stadium at Night” »
I attended the J&B Met in Cape Town last Saturday and it truly was an amazing day with great weather, huge horses and loads of colourful and beautiful women.
Whenever there’s a theme involved you see people pushing the envelope – like the girls with the skirts that were more like belts, which resulted in a mexican wave emulation when every mans head turned violently as they walked by.
All in all it was a great day chilling in the J&B Jet Lounge with friends, champagne and suits!
More J&B Met photos can be found at the Cape Town website.
On Sunday, Cape Town was treated to one of the best live performances I’ve seen to date.
The Killers rocked the stage, which was set in the stunning Val De Vie Wine and Polo Estate near Paarl.
Here are some photos of the event via Jared Botha.

Last week I was invited to attend the media briefing for the Final draw in Cape Town for the 2010 Fifa World Cup™, which is happening this Friday the 4th of December 2009. Continue reading “Inside the CTICC: 2010 Fifa World Cup™ Final Draw” »
Last Friday was an experience of a lifetime and a definite tick on my list of 100 things to do before I die. Cape Town Tourism sponsored a bloggers day out to give some of Cape Town’s bloggers a time out from their PC’s, Google, Twitter and all that. Whenever good friends are visiting, it means a full weekend of activities. After various locations and digesting loads of food, drinks and conversation, we ended up at Jade in Green Point, Cape Town so that the girls could dance and the guys could have some chill time.
The crowd was pretty different to what we were used to, but it was this legend that made the night more interesting… Enter ‘Tod’.
Tod is a perfect example of why you shouldn’t juice up and spend too much of your time in the free weights section at Virgin Active. While dancing so close to my dear friend Dylan, who could practically feel him breathing on his neck (vomit), he proceeded to remove his shirt to benefit everybody on the dance floor.
There must be a rule about this somewhere and I’m pretty sure it’s Rule #183 of the Wedding Crashers code of conduct – “Do not take your shirt off on the dance floor”. What was worse was the fact that his friends were totally cool with it… Tod, they’re not really your friends.
Last night Capetonians were treated to a spectacular display when all 360 floodlights for the Cape Town Stadium in Greenpoint were switched on. Continue reading “Green Point Stadium Turns The Lights On In Cape Town” »
