Mark Shuttleworth steps down as CEO of Ubuntu

Yesterday, Mark Shuttleworth resigned as CEO of Canonical, which is the company holding Ubuntu. The COO of Canonical, Jane Silber, will become the new CEO.

Shuttleworth won’t be leaving Ubuntu, but rather than managing the business, he will be focussing closely on product design and the enterprise customers, as well as, working closer with partners and with their new cloud based offerings.
