It’s been a while since the leak of the iPhone 4 prototype, which launched a buzz online, some fancy letters from Apple Lawyers and a nice little police raid. All that excitement makes me want the iPhone 4 even more!

This is to do with the release of Apple’s OS4 software, which allows for multitasking, folders and all that… and the new design and features of the iPhone 4.

Some new features seem to be:

• Front-facing video chat camera
• Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS)
• Camera flash
• Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)
• Improved display. It’s unclear if it’s the 960×640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the “Connect to iTunes” screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
• What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack
• Split buttons for volume
• Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic

After a few months of iPhone 3GS madness and being jealous of my friends who have it… it’s old news.

It seems that there is an Apple 4G on the cards for 2010 and it’s looking hot.

• Multi-tasking
• Front camera (iChat video calling)
• Removable battery
• True GPS
